Downtown Shopping?

Hello

We will be in Bonaire for a short time from 8am until 130pm

Is there a shopping district within walking distance of the cruise port?

Both stores are within walking distance of the ship.

There are about 30 shops and eateries on and directly off of the the main drag, about a five minute walk from the ship's pier. Just leave the secure area and take a left. Follow either the main road or the road along the beach and they will take you to this main area. The day we were there, there was also a nice craft-type of fair with about 20 vendors in this area. A few booths had nice hand-made items, and there was also a good deal of general tchochke stuff.

 

We liked the laid-back atmosphere in the main shopping area of Bonaire (better than the glitz, clubs, casinos in the comparable (but larger) area in Aruba.
