Ammiraglio Bettolo

Recommended Posts

Hi:

Trying to find the ultimate fate of the Italian passenger ship AMMIRAGLIO BETOLO. She was owned by Transatlantica Italiana, built in 1923, of 8,139 gross tons on dimensions of 445' loa x 52' beam. A neat little liner with two stacks, she was sold in 1934 to Egypt's Misr Line, renamed KAWSAR. Survived World War 2, but no info after that. Need help.

Hello there,

As far as I know, she didn't survive the WWII but instead was sunk by aircrafts at Port Said 31.34N/32.14E on April 11, 1942 and demolished there by the end of January 1947.

Brgds,

Aleksi
