Etrainer1,

We are staying at the Marriott Marina those two nights.
We had to pay through the nose.....but then again it is New Years Eve and New Years day.
I thought about trying priceline but I have a feeling all the decent hotels will be full.
We are heading out on Oosterdam Jan 2nd... What ship are you guys on?

same ship as you, iowacruiser! we are 3 couples in our 50's and love to party! we may stay at the marina, but was also looking at the riverside hotel, a bit cheaper and closer to restaurants and shops.

We also love to imbibe..With a nightly reservation at the craps table
We are two couples in our mid 40's..
We travel together at least twice a year..Usualy over New Years but the cruise fares are so high we decided to ring in the New Year in Ft Lauderdale and then hit the high seas.
We are in cabins 5187 and 5186 aft
What about you?
If you haven't paid your cruise in full there are some great deals on category S and SS suites on this sailing.
Let me know if you are interested and I can direct you to the sites.

hi scott,
we already booked the ss cabins on deck #6, midship. at first we were on the 8th deck, but were afraid that we may here chairs moving about all night. we got a terific rate! we are still undecided about the hotel. one couple has a condo in hallandale. so this may change our location. will keep you posted!
