Scavenger Hunt!

Can anyone tell me if they still do this on Pacific Sun and what it's all about?

Hi czardas, I haven't seen an adult scavenger hunt on the Sun or Star, only on the Sky. but I think the kids still have one.

They get a list of things they have to find, and when they do, tick them off list.... who has the most things wins.

like.... finding someone over 80 and getting their autograph.

where on the ship would you find such and such.

etc, etc.

when the adult one was on, it was hilarious, you had teams , and took many things from your cabin, handbag etc. when they called out certain articles or whatever, if you had them ,you ran up on stage.

passport , house keys, safety pins, black sox,..... so many things

size 20 dd bra, ... women removing them and running is a strange sight..

it was all done in fun.

kindest regards, Lorraine:) :)

They still do have them on the ships for adults. In fact Keepcrusing just won one on her current cruise.

They used to use almost the same list all the time. Bit boring for repeat cruisers but I believe this time it was a different list. In the past some of the things have been: purple g-string, cotton bud, unused condom, pocket fluff, schick mens razor, 1975 5 cent piece, balloon, postit note, airplane luggage tag and lots more. A lot of the stuff you could easily have but for example the 5 cent piece you would have to be really lucky.

On one of my cruises you had to get a certain year dollar coin. We sat in the casino for 10 minutes going through all their coins and we actually found one.

Thanks for the info. The reason I asked is because I saw it listed in the Pacific Daily which someone from this site has scanned for viewing. (soory I have forgotten who did this)

So I was wondering whether I should go and grab a whole heap of weird and wonderful things to stuff into my already buldging suitcase :)

I have also read stories about a game called quest that they play on the american ships. it is very secret and no one will tell you what it is. From reading some posts i think it must be like a hunt where you actually have to wear the items. Apparently it is very R rated. Any one here can you elaborate.

I dont think we will have dress up or games on the sapphire princess!!

Hi Lorraine,

The current scavenger hunt is very different to the one you recalled above. I think that was called afternoon madness! The one they do now meet in one of the lounges and get into teams. They are then given a list of obscure items and released to search the ship for them!! The first team back with all of the items wins!

I too remember the one you were thinking of and they were fantastic. I believe our modern world of litigation caused the end of that fun afternoon as it could be quite dangerous and people could get hurt & sue. I remember one time they asked for false teeth and without even thinking I stuck out my hand into which one of our team promptly stuck their false teeth and took off onto the stage... It wasn't til I was walking back I thought about how disgusting it was. I also enjoyed the "fashion parade" with the team "beauties"!!!

Cheers,

Charmain:)

Hi Charmain, thanks for letting me know that...

yes, those days were great, and everyone who joined in had theeee best time. laughs a plenty , but to be honest I haven't seen one like you mention except for the one for kids. Maybe I am too caught up with Trivia, that is my favourite........followed by the horse racing,

marriage match and perfect match. (would never go in those two, but great to watch)

I am going back on the Sun in May, and in progress to have my 65th birthday on her again in June, so I hope Demo is still on board, if not James......they both make me laugh.

kindest regards, Lorraine:) :)
