Hello, this is my first time to post and my first time to go on a cruise to celebrate our first anniversary. Myself and my husband are cruising with the Explorer of the Seas August 3rd and have treated ourselves to a Category D2 Queen View with Balcony and would like advice which deck would be best 7,8 or 9? And which would be the best location for the cabin (sorry my ship terminology is terrible :) ). Any advice would be appreciated, I did try searching through the boards but couldn't come up with anything. Thanks again.

If this is your 1st cruise, try to find something "mid-ships"--it's a more stable ride, less vibration, less walking--an all around good location. If you're big into the pool scene, go for deck 9--it's easy to get to the pool and upper decks. If staying inside the ship is more your thing, go for a lower deck.

Just have fun. It's a vacation, after all!
