1 day cruise from NYC

It's called Dinner and Dance cruise. Did anyone go? What is happenning on the cruise like that? Is there a dinner and a buffet or only dinner? Any entertainment?

You might want to find out which line it was and when and check the line-specific boards. I think most of the lines call them a "cruise to nowhere". :)

Everything you'd expect on a regular cruise, you get on a CTN, except a port of call :D. The entertainment, casino, shops, comedian, big show, dancing, disco, pictures, welcome aboard pool party, poolside dining, buffet and regular dinner ( except on NCL- it's 'freestyle'- so you just show up whenever you want. There are also the specialty restaurants

 

It seemed that many either opt for the buffet or specialty restaurants. When we went to dinner around 6 there were only a few tables with people eating. The dancing, disco and casino were all full well into the wee hours.

 

We had such a good time last year, we're doing it again

Thank you for replies. It's with NCL. We never sailed with them, but booked for next year, so this would be nice preview (I hope) :)

 

Just need something to hold me between this Feb to the next :D

We are booked on a few of the one night dinner and dance cruises. It's a getaway for us from our 4 kids ;) It ends up being: Lunch, dinner and a show.
