New York excursion

We are on the march 21 noordam cruise and after the cruise we will have a flight from JFK airport at 18.10 to the Netherlands.I read that you could make an excursion around New York for 2,5 hours before they bring you to the airport.Anybody who does this excursion ? Do you think it is worth it ?
