Off at one port On at another?

We are on HAL's Statendam from Osaka to Hong Kong. We would like to get off the ship in Beijing, spend a few days touring and then rejoin the ship in Shanghai.

Does anyone know what HALs position is on this? Is it possible? The TA says no. HAL's customer service sounded like it was possible but TA had to request. The reuest was made a week ago.

What do you guys think? Any advise?
