FLL cab pricing

We have friends who will be post-cruising at the Ren-Plantation while we are pre-cruising at the Sleep Inn. Could someone who is familiar with the area give me an idea of how much cab fare would be round trip?

 

Also, are there any dining places adjacent to the Renaissance excluding what is at the facility? I am aware we have options at the SI location.

It's almost 13 miles from your hotel to that of your friends. Cab fares are currently

$2.50 First 1/6 Mile

40¢ Each Additional 1/6 Mile or

40¢ Each 1-Minute of Waiting Time

So based on those fares, the base fare would be 33.30, add 10 minutes at traffic lights, 37.30 and tip ($5), figure $42-$45 each way. I'd consider a car rental.

Bequia, any thoughts on whether it is feasible to take a taxi from the Bahia Mar area to the Hollywood Hard Rock Hotel & Casino?
