RousterBlues Posted February 27, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 27, 2007 Will be heading on our 1st cruise in June. We booked directly thru Carnival with a CVS(not sure what a PVP is). We booked an inside stateroom on the main deck. The guy said he was giving us the price of the Riviera (Main was $549/per the Riviera was $509 per). Now I notice that the price of the Riviera is $479/per and the Main is $509. So I guess you can say we didn't get an upgrade. My question to some of you long time cruisers. Is this something that you could get a reduction or OBC. Or is this just "I'm still getting it at the current price so no go". Maybe a dumb question, so I figured I'd ask ya'll before calling Carnival. I'm just wondering, as I've never ever dealt with this. Thanks.
Cuizer2 Posted February 27, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 27, 2007 At the time you booked the cabin you received an upgrade. Now the price has changed. However, since you only paid the current price, you cannot ask for a refund ($509 - $509 = zero).

jkeller527 Posted March 7, 2007 #5 Share Posted March 7, 2007 If you have not made your final payment then they will rebook at the lower rate. I am a travel agent and we rebook people all day long. Carnival sends us faxes of the ones that have gone down in price. Once final payment is in full then they will not usually rebook it unless you have the insurance and you will usually lose the insurance.
