Thatmom Posted February 28, 2007 #1 Share Posted February 28, 2007 How far is it from the San Diego Airport to the Ship Elation? Can we take a cab? Should we plan for a car service? How would you get there?thanks, Carla
LornaT Posted February 28, 2007 #2 Share Posted February 28, 2007 If going directly from the airport to the pier, I would take a cab, it's about a couple of miles away.
luvz2run2000 Posted February 28, 2007 #3 Share Posted February 28, 2007 Take a cab. It's the dock is on the same street as the airport and it's less than 2 miles away. There will be a line of cabs outside the airport. If you fly in the day of the cruise and you're on the left side of the plane you will be able to see your ship right before you land. Wennfred Posted February 28, 2007 #6 Share Posted February 28, 2007 By Plane For those arriving to San Diego by air, the terminal is a 10-minute ride from San Diego International Airport. An area devoted for taxicab pick-up is located just outside of the baggage claim areas of the airport’s two main terminals and commuter terminal. Darlipoo Posted March 1, 2007 #7 Share Posted March 1, 2007 The cab is a breeze. Some people might think it is such a short distance, they just as soon walk. BUT DON"T! Harbor Blvd. is awful to walk down and in a cab, they take you through the gate right up to the ship. Much better this way. Just CHECK THE BACK SEAT before the cab takes off!!!!!!
