lgfromdg Posted March 2, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2007 I plan on using a credit card for on-board charges but I have a question about how much cash to bring. Say I bring $500 in cash for tips, gambling, shopping at the ports etc. If I run low on cash, is there any way for me to get more on the ship? TrojanCruiser Posted March 2, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2007 There's an ATM machine in the casino.:)
sandradeen Posted March 2, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2007 Like I've heard... Bring 1/2 as many clothes and twice as much money as you had planned on! JK But in this case I don't think you will even need $500 as the cruise is a cashless society. You can use your credit card for just about everything...both on and off the ship. lgfromdg Posted March 2, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted March 2, 2007 Would you know what the ATM fee is? If it's not too much, I may bring less than $500 and get more cash as I need it.
Toyz711 Posted March 2, 2007 #5 Share Posted March 2, 2007 just get cash off your ship's account from the cashier at the casino. but for those that need the ATM, it's there also. fees on the star were guite high, no fees through the cashier. lgfromdg Posted March 2, 2007 Author #6 Share Posted March 2, 2007 Thanks. I hadn't thought about getting cash at the casino. I just hate paying high ATM fees.
CRUZIN TOM Posted March 2, 2007 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2007 By getting cash at the casino, it is counted as a charge on your credit card. It is not a cash advance. You can get up to $2000.00 per day per cabin. that way we bring just a smalll amount of cash with us and plan to get it from the casino when needed. If they ask just say you are using it for slots and they will give you the cash. If you say it is for the tables, they may give you a slip to take to the tables and then they will give you chips. then just make a bet and cash the rest in at the cashiers booth.:)
