Hot Sauce Collector Posted March 3, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 3, 2007 :D We stayed at the Crown Royal in San Pedro before departing on an NCL cruise last month. I can't say enough nice things about this hotel! It was convenient to the port and to wonderful waterfront restaurants recommended by the hotel staff. The price was @ $125 a night for a beautiful room booked on the internet. A shuttle took us to the cruise port promptly. :p The Red Cap shuttle is perfect to get to the hotel from LAX airport, and they picked up us right after our cruise to take us back to the airport for $16 per person each way, which we thought was an extremely good price for excellent service. dzcruisers Posted March 3, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 3, 2007 We enjoyed staying there in Feb before our Summit cruise. It has recently been remodeled and is very nice. We were there for two nights and found them to be helpful with directions, etc. They had a free shuttle to ship. They took our luggage early and it was in our room when we got on board at 3. Call them and they'll give you parking policy. They seem to have lots of parking. We took Super Shuttle from LAX to Doubletree. We rented a car from Enterprise. We got Doubletree on Priceline. Seems you usually get Doubletree or Crown Plaza on 3 star, port selection. Happy Cruising!:D
teddycruzr Posted March 3, 2007 #5 Share Posted March 3, 2007 Did you make a reservation with Super Shuttle or just look for them when you got out of the airport? How long was the drive from LAX to the hotel?
JJ2sail Posted March 5, 2007 #6 Share Posted March 5, 2007 I believe the Crown Plaza does a park and sail package.

Bucky3 Posted March 16, 2007 #8 Share Posted March 16, 2007 Doubletree does have a park/cruise package. We just booked it for our 15-day cruise. Includes parking, breakfast, wine, shuttle to/from the ship.

Jerm Posted April 1, 2007 #10 Share Posted April 1, 2007 We stayed at the double tree hotel in San Pedro in February two nights before our Diamond Princess cruise It is dated but has had some renovations we were pleased with it during our stay. I liked the complimentary breakfast on cruise day they also gave us a bottle of champagne and we felt very comfortable leaving our car there for the duration of the cruise they also have security in the parking lot at night. Also the cabrillo beach is right behind the hotel it is a nice beach if you want to lay out and enjoy the beach.
teddycruzr Posted April 1, 2007 #11 Share Posted April 1, 2007 We will be staying there next Tuesday. Did you have dinner in the hotel's dining room or can you recommend a good restaurant near by for dinner?

dzcruisers Posted April 2, 2007 #13 Share Posted April 2, 2007 Acapulco was good! Crab Shanty (Shack) or was it the Cracked Crab, (forgettable) wa awful! The food at the Doubletree restaurant was pretty good. The service in the restaurant left a lot to be desired! We liked the hotel!
Bucky3 Posted April 2, 2007 #14 Share Posted April 2, 2007 Did the priceline bids include parking for the week's cruise?
Phamer55 Posted May 16, 2007 #15 Share Posted May 16, 2007 I'm curious about this too. If you book your hotel thru Priceline, can you still park your car at the hotel for the week? If not, can you pay an additional fee (and what is the fee) to park your car there for the week?
