new2cruising2008 Posted March 3, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2007 Please don't turn this into an anti-smoking barage. I read a member's review that said that smoking areas weren't reinforced on her ship. I'm concerned because I'm fragrant and smoke allergic. And I don't think it's good for the kids. It's one thing if I walk into a bar that I know is smoking & choose to sit there. But it's another if I'm in a supposed-to-be nonsmoking area and I have to smell the smoke, or if I'm walking between areas & have to deal with smoke in a common area that is supposed to be nonsmoking. What is your experiences with this? How have you handled it? Thanks.
crusinmama06 Posted March 3, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 3, 2007 Good luck in the casino. I know what you mean about being allergic to fragrances (I get an instant migraine)....but I can tell you that the casinos are smoky...very smoky. But as far as the common areas, no I've never noticed anyone smoking where they weren't suppose to be. And I've been on 4 cruiselines. No problems on any of them. I am not going to make a total fuss if someone is smoking on the wrong side of the ship. But I will remove my kids if there is a table of 4 smoking on the pool deck next to us during breakfast or something.
Quilting_Cruiser Posted March 6, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 6, 2007 In five cruises, I've never seen anyone smoking in a non-smoking area. :)
