conversationist Posted March 4, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2007 On a recent cruise from Florida we stopped on the beautiful island of Jamaica. What a beautiful place, what an irritating group of people who live there. It seemed like almost everyone we met was either irritating, cold, unfriendly, overly aggressive, pushy, or glum. I did not meet one person who I enjoyed interacting with. Here is a typical story: We went on a tour organized by the Cruise-line (Carnival) and it included a scenic Shaw Park Botanical Gardens above the main City of Ocho Rios. The tour guide, as he was walking us through the park, kept saying over and over and over, "Don't Worry Be Happy" Everyone was so tired of this man but could not get him to stop saying this over and over and over. After we finally left the park everyone was telling nasty Jamaicans stories. He was the straw the broke the camels back.
