Norway Suggestions

Cruising Norway in the fall. Does anyone have any suggestions for pre/post stays?

Been to Oslo before and can recommend the Hotel Continental for a post/pre stay.

 

Transport wise between Bergen (if this is one of your ports) and Olso, there is this fantastic train that goes up into the mountains between the two. It's recognized as being one of the top railway experiences in the world (if you're into that sort of thing).

We did the Norway in a Nutshell train last summer. It is a beautiful trip by train, boat through the fjords and bus. If you have the time it is a full day round trip from Oslo, or you can go all the way to Bergen and then back to Oslo at your leasure.
