carrying on soda....

Recommended Posts

We're flying in the night before, staying overnight. Planned on stopping to get 1-2 12 packs of soda somewhere along the way. Now, do I physically need to have these in a bag, or can we just carry the cases on? Weird question, I know, but we'll have everything kind of all ready packed up and don't feel like digging everything out and trying to find room for 2 cases of soda. :o

Thanks!

You can carry them on....I think most people pack them, because its cumbersome to have your all your luggage plus cases of soda. Especially if you have to wait in a line to board the ship.

We sailed on Liberty last week and took a 12-pack of diet Coke & a case of 24 bottled waters. My wife actually packed an extra empty duffle bag in our luggage .... so, when we bought the soda & water we stuck it in the empty bag, put a Liberty luggage tag on it, gave it to the Porters and the bag showed up in our room with the rest of our luggage. If I remember correctly, cans of soda are $1.75 on board and bottled water is around $3.95 for a pretty good size bottle ... however, with 2 kids, we prefer taking a case of water ... then everyone can have their own smaller size bottles.
