Have you ever had a bad expierence shopping for jewels in the Mexican Riviera? Did you overpay? Purchase something of inferior quality? Were you able to remedy the situation when you returned home? Any info about your experience would be appreciated.

I would never buy jewelry there ... I dont trust anyone... im sorry,,

some people have had good buys there, but personally we prefer to shop here in the states and not in foreign countries you never know what the heck you are getting,,

I buy silver, since its cheap, thats about it for jewelry,,

All depends were you purchase it. We would never buy anything like that from a flea market even though we did see some jewelery in many of the flea markerts we have visited. We were very happy after purchasing in a proper jewelery shop a fire opal ring in Mexico and having it apprasied when we got home. Our experience has been a good one. So good that I went back to get the matching earings.:)
