Anybody use this vendor before? They offer free shuttle to Port Everglades. Offer indoor and outdoor parking..

thanks

Yes, I am interested too. We are driving down for an 8 April Costa cruise. Costa has them listed on their web site and you can prepay. The rate is suppose to be 30% off and is $60 for 7 days.

What does the parking normally cost? How good or fast or how often are the shuttles? How far is it from the port. I know the airport isn't far so if the parking is between the airport and port..then it isn't too far away.

As with any off site parking service, getting you to the port in a timely manner isn't usually a problem, it's when you return. Most of these off site parking facilities only have one or two shuttles that are utilized for both the airport and the cruiseport. These shuttles stop at every cruise terminal. If the shuttle fills up before it gets to your terminal you end up waiting and waiting and, you guessed it waiting. There's been horror stories of your fellow cruisers waiting an hour and a half to two hours to get back to their car. You may end up eating some of your savings on the cost of a cab to get you back to your car. Oh, when you get back to your car, check it real carefully. Make sure the tires are the same ones that were on the car when you left it. Here's another tip, never, ever leave your car keys with the parking facility. ;)

I don't know about Park N Go.....

We have used Park N FLY ( http://www.pnf.com/ ) so many times in Orlando I have lost count.

Granted we haven't used them in Ft Lauderdale YET (booked to though in May) but we have never had a problem with them. The longest "wait" we had for a shuttle has been about 5 minutes. The staff has always been wonderful.

The online booking is easy to use and the rates now are 10.00 a day (7th day is free). Book soon though as they do sell out.

I copied this from their site:

The Park 'N Fly Ft. Lauderdale Airport Parking facility features:

Complimentary Shuttle Service To and From FLL Airport

No long walks. Airport shuttles pick you up at your car and takes you to your terminal.

Complimentary Shuttle Service To and From Port Everglades

Continuous Shuttle Service Every 3-5 Minutes

No more long waits. Shuttle service is provided 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Beware of Parking With United Airport Parking!

We had reservations to park with United Airport Parking for our cruise on Feb. 4th ($69.32). They advertise to be at parking 10 - 15 minutes before you desire to be at port. When we arrived cars were parked all over the street in front of their building. There was nobody parking cars in their lot. When entering there was one women behind the counter trying to help a couple that had reserved a rental car from them. She did not know where the rental car was and was on the phone trying to get help to find the car. They had waited for over an hour at the port for the United van to pick them up. There was another man with reservations waiting for her to help him. We waited 45 minutes for the woman to finish with the couples reservation and to get to us. During this time no van arrived to take any of us to the port. We asked the woman when the van would be there and she said " I can't tell you, if I give you a time and they aren't here you will be mad". We were now down to 30 minutes before we had to be on the ship. The other gentleman and I cancelled our reservations and returned to the port and parked in the port garage. ($12.00 per day)

My refund was short over $6.00 for a cancellation charge and they refuse to credit me with the remainder. United blames the delay that day on slow security at the port because it was Super Bowl Day in Miami. But we had entered the port with no wait at all and dropped of our luggage and when we returned to the port went right in with no more than 2 -3 minutes wait. Why had not a van returned form the port in 45 minutes if we could enter the port, go to their parking lot and return in around a hour? I would also hope that they had more than one van operating.

To sum up my experience, pay the $12.00 per day and not have to depend on the undependable!
