conversion rate for pesos to US dollars?

Passed by my neighbourhood bank today, they had it at 11.03=1USD. The "casa de cambio" exchange place a few blocks down was at 10.75....

Yup, it hasn't varied too much except lately as the Dow has had some big losses. But it's been in the upper 10's-11 for a looong time now!

Google's calculator will do conversions in many currencies.

 

To convert from USD to MXN all you do on the Google website is type in:

 

1 USD in MXN

 

Do a search and you get the latest conversion rate.

 

Today, the answer is:

 

1 U.S. dollar = 11.1935 Mexican pesos

Just returned from Guadalajara last night and got anywhere from 10.20 to 10.80 and exchanged at two hotels, Guadalajara Airport and Bancomex outlet at a shopping plaza. Hotel was the lowest and airport was the best since they had several booths competing for business.

HSBC has the best exchange rate - they have a location in the plaza downtown and also on Ave 11 and 30 - but if you are just here for a day I wouldn't change much money at all and probably just hit whatever "casa de cambio" is convenient a few cents here and there won't make a big difference if you are changing small amounts of money -

Plus for most businesses here - USD CASH IS KING!!
