Hopefully you will snorkel at the barrier reef. That place was incredible for snorkling, have fun!

I am not sure where it is but it is off the boat so they will take us somewhere around the reef. Not the blue hole for sure or the reserve I think that is a little far away. This is just a half day excursion but I can not wait. Thanks for the great picture and well wishes.;)

Eat, drink and we paid $20 for an hour and a half of snorkling on the areas barrier reef.

Just read that Bannister island is for sale. 2.2 million. If i smuggle my booze on and remove all the tips I'm sure i can save enough for a down payment.

Great photo! We just got back and we loved Bannister Caye. Agree about the snorkeling, great deal and awesome trip.

 

If my 2 daughters find out it's for sale, they'll be starting car washes immediately to raise money. I didn't think they'd get on the boat to leave.

Donna, I noted on the other thread that we booked the trip to Bannister through the ship. (Wasn't called Bannister, just 'Island Beach Break'.) If you can't do that, I would get to shore as early as possible, and grab a water taxi or tour to Bannister as soon as you can. Get there and get situated and then you can snorkel or whatever. But I suggest avoiding going to Belize City altogether if your goal is beach time.

Very true, we heard a lot of people complaining about heading into the city. They did not like it at all for some reason. Glad we didn't go!

 

This was the ships tour we booked also, it was the island beach break excursion.
