bigelow Posted March 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2007 :D I received my docs . I booked a balcony guarantee and they gave me my room number .Is there any chance that would change when we check in on board.
runner15km Posted March 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 18, 2007 Most likely not but the cruise line has the discretion to make changes.
barbarah33 Posted March 21, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 21, 2007 Once a cruise line sends out your docs with a cabin number on it you can be just about 100% positive that’s your cabin number. The fact that they have sent them out and assigned the numbers means they are closing the bookings – in other words, the cabin categories that would accommodate the guarantees are full and what you have is final. The only way it might change would be if there’s a problem with the particular cabin you were assigned or a very large group that has booked a good chunk of the ship suddenly needs a last minute change. eh2zed Posted August 15, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 15, 2007 Generally thats it but if the upgrade fairy favours you there could be a change.
Bill S Posted August 15, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 15, 2007 We were upgraded at check-in this year after having been assigned a cabin under a guarantee booking. We booked had booked a verandah category and then were assigned a higher category. Then, at check-in, we were upgraded again, to a deluxe verandah suite! :D So, it CAN happen! We don't expect upgrades, but when it happens, it is great!
