 We are porting at Caymen Islands and Calica on the Inspiration. Can you give me some advice on tendering? I read in reviews where same boat, same location and Mexican authorities would not allow Carnival to tender, so they did not get to do excursion. I have book Dolphin swim (as advised) outside of cruise, so if we don't tender, I lose my money!!! How often does this occur??? We are leaving at Dolphin Royal Swim, April 03, 2007 at 11:00 am. Pick up 10:10 am at Calica Port. When should I leave ship to be able to be at pick up? When is last pick up on most port? I read there were long lines for pickup? Any advice? I was going to plan activity for Caymen Islands, now I think I will take cab to beach and hang out instead, would like to rent jet skis, any suggestions on that? Thanks:rolleyes:

If you booked through Carnival, any excursions that are cancelled will be immediatly credited to your S&S account.

Most independants on GC do not require you to pre-pay or ask for a very minimum deposit. Try Capt Bryan's Stingray and Snorkel tour.

You won't have any trouble with Grand Cayman tendering. They have it down to a real art. We were off in no time. As soon as one tender leaves there's another waiting. We booked a stingray tour and had to be there fairly early. Wasn't a problem at all. Add to that the ship time was an hour later than local time so getting off the ship at 9 am you'll be there for 8 am.

I haven't been to Calica so can't comment on that one.
