Store hours in St. Thomas

Will be docked 8-8, plan on taking the ferry to St. John. Wondering how early the stores open, would prefer to shop an hour or two before hitting the island. I guess we will have to go thru customs also so this may eat up a little of our time. Don't want to get to Trunk Bay too late (noon) because I heard it can get really crowded.

By the time you get through the giant line to get off the ship there will be plenty of shops and vendors open. We have never had a problem with that except in Key West where we arrived at 7 and were off the ship very fast and to top it off it was Sunday. Also, you can always go to trunk bay first and shop after. We did that last year when we had to go to a wedding at Magen's Bay (talk about beautiful!) Anyway, we stayed there for a couple of hours and then had banana dacquiris at the top of the mountain and then the van driver dropped us off for a few hours of shopping. Happy cruising!

Amen.. those folks are always open to take your dollar.

Why take the expensive vans? Look up the public bus for a dollar!
