blackpool belle Posted March 22, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2007 I was wondering.... If the day before a cruise there are cabins left do RCI let single travellers purchase a cabin paying for only 1 person and not basing it on double occupancy? I would have thought it was better to have "somebody" in the cabin rather than it sail empty.
Sheffie Posted March 22, 2007 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2007 Due to national security, the cruiseline has to have their manifest ready more than one day before a cruise (I think it is 72 hours), so you don't see the last-minute deals like they used to have. It would be a great idea if they reduced the single fare the last week before a cruise. Maybe someone from the cruise lines will read this thread and think about doing that! The manifest has to be submitted to Homeland security.
