Last Minute Cabins!

I was wondering....

 

If the day before a cruise there are cabins left do RCI let single travellers purchase a cabin paying for only 1 person and not basing it on double occupancy? I would have thought it was better to have "somebody" in the cabin rather than it sail empty.

Due to national security, the cruiseline has to have their manifest ready more than one day before a cruise (I think it is 72 hours), so you don't see the last-minute deals like they used to have. It would be a great idea if they reduced the single fare the last week before a cruise. Maybe someone from the cruise lines will read this thread and think about doing that!

Yes, true. The manifest has to be submitted to Homeland security.
