Has anyone tried it? Is it worth the extra per person expense? We are going on the Miracle again in June and I can't wait for an evening at Nick and Nora's again. Well worth the extra $$ you won't be disappointed.

summercruisin' Posted March 22, 2007 #8 Share Posted March 22, 2007 Okay, I don't want to be even borderline negative, but it was really just okay for me. I have never heard anything negative about it (and lots and lots of raves). It was good...don't get me wrong...it just wasn't sooooo great that I want to rave about it. We have a high-end restaurant in town that is much better in many ways...maybe I'm spoiled. Nonetheless, it is definitely worth going to celebrate your special occasion, and I know for certain I would have regretted skipping out...wondering what I missed out on. Have fun, and congratulations on the big anniversary!! Paula

CorbinCatFan Posted March 22, 2007 #10 Share Posted March 22, 2007 As penny pinchers go, I am the worlds best. But....we went with our two daughters and it was the best meal we've ever had on land or sea. It is well worth the extra for the service extended. Look at our pics (http://travel.webshots.com/album/557221435WcoHZU) to see. And I will say that the N&N's pics are not as great as actually being there. AnnieB925 Posted March 22, 2007 #11 Share Posted March 22, 2007 We went Nick and Nora's to celebrate our 30th anniversary in October. Here's what we did: we went to N&N's at a quiet time, a couple of days before we wanted to make the reservation, and talked to the hostess and chose our table. We chose a table for two, facing the dance floor and she assured us that she wouldn't seat anyone next to us. It was a very nice spot. Many people choose to sit at the windows, but there's nothing to "see" at night and you do get people walking by looking in. For $30 per person it's a good value and not to be missed. We brought a bottle of special wine from home, and my husband brought it up to the sommelier before our reservation time. We then proceeded to order champagne and settle in for a nice, relaxing dinner for two. Happy Anniversary!
DGP1111 Posted March 22, 2007 #12 Share Posted March 22, 2007 Deeeeeeelicious!!! Entree' item are prepared to perfection. When it's time for the dessert, it'll look more like 'art' than food, so it's tempting to just stare at it for a while, and not destroy it by eating. So close your eyes and dig in -- they're terrific!!

willowcreek1955 Posted March 23, 2007 #14 Share Posted March 23, 2007 Are the menus pretty much the same for Nick and Noras as the other restaurants on the other ships? Does anyone have a menu. We were on the Miracle about 2yrs ago and didn't get a chance to go.:(
piscesbaby Posted March 23, 2007 #15 Share Posted March 23, 2007 :) We will be celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary on the Miracle. We thought we would try Nick and Nora's for a special evening. Has anyone tried it? Is it worth the extra per person expense? The answer is Yesssssssssssssssssssss! You can not celebrate your anniversary without going to Nick and Nora's.My husband and I celebrated our 6th Anniversary and ate at Nick and Nora's. It is not to be missed. I've never received the level of service that I experienced there even paying quadruple in another restaurant. I hope you enjoy and congrats on 25 years of marriage. lucyddr Posted March 23, 2007 #16 Share Posted March 23, 2007 We went to Nick and Noras on our honeymoon cruise on the Miracle last August. For your aniversary, it's good just to get away from the dining room. But....it is by no means the best meal we have ever had! The singing couple the night we were there was horrible and the food was just ok. I guess it depends on your expectations, but I'd not consider it nearly as good Ruth Chris, Morton's, or other nice steak chains.

DarkJedi Posted March 23, 2007 #18 Share Posted March 23, 2007 Definately worth it. By far the best food you will find on the ship, on par with a 4-5 star on land for service and quality. The current sommelier on board is fantastic, she was able to find us a bottle of sweet, dry, white wine. Not an easy task.
sparkscruiser Posted March 23, 2007 #19 Share Posted March 23, 2007 Good food, yes - but have had much better service in the dining room honestly!
sme Posted March 23, 2007 #20 Share Posted March 23, 2007 I think DW and I will try Nick and Nora's this cruise. The Triumph didn't have a specialty restaurant and on our first cruise, we didn't think it would be worth it. Now I think I am ready!!! My question is, when do you pick a night to go. I think we want to do the dining Room on Formal nights.
bareitallltan Posted March 23, 2007 #21 Share Posted March 23, 2007 Have had better-but for a cruiseline-it was good-don"t let them seat you on the edge of the dance floor-between the duo singing(?) and the accents of the waitstaff it was verrry hard to understand what they were saying-definately worth the 30$.Would I do it again-no-dining room staff was much more attentive--at Nick and Nora's no one came over even to ask if dinner was ok-not even a good bye have a great night when we left!(and b.t.w. I tipped on a table of 4 like 20$ extra.)

madelinerose Posted March 24, 2007 #24 Share Posted March 24, 2007 We were on the Miracle in October 2004, our first cruise, when the ship was 6 months old. I believe we dined at N&Ns 2-3 times. Yes, it's worth it. Congratulations on the 25th! ;) :) We will be celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary on the Miracle. We thought we would try Nick and Nora's for a special evening.
