MSEm Posted March 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2007 I read that NCL had upgraded the bedding on the NCL SPIRIT. What was the upgrade. Are the mattress thick or thin? Also I have read conflicting information about Ocean View and Balcony cabins having refrigerator. Are there refrigerators in all cabins? Thanks for the help. I was on the Spirit last summer and all I can say is the bedding was VERY comfy...then again...my husband and I were on vacation and our two kids were home with grandma...so a cardboard bed may have been very comfy...lol...as for the refigerators...we had a balcony cabin and no fridge...so I can tell you that all cabins do not have refrgerators!! I hope you have a great time when you go!!!
PDAZ Posted March 23, 2007 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2007 I've heard a lot of people complain about the bedding on the Spirit, but we thought it was fine. We do like firm mattresses though, so maybe it's a matter of taste.
Don Haynes Posted March 23, 2007 #4 Share Posted March 23, 2007 Only the suites have refrigerators, balconies, oceanview, and inside cabins do not. The Spirit entered service in 1999 and is the last newest ship without refrigerators in every cabin.
francina Posted March 23, 2007 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2007 Question, My mother is on insulin. Should I call and see if there is a refrigator in my cabin and if not. How will they handle that?
electricron Posted March 23, 2007 #6 Share Posted March 23, 2007 Question, My mother is on insulin. Should I call and see if there is a refrigator in my cabin and if not. How will they handle that? Call the Spirit's ship cooordinator, tell them about your medical needs. There are a limited number of small, portable refrigerators that can be moved from cabin to cabin, for this very reason. bskmom Posted March 23, 2007 #7 Share Posted March 23, 2007 My daughter has diabetes and food allergies. I contacted accessdesk@ncl.com They quickly responded and made notes in my reservation. they requested a refrigerator for my room. They noted that I have to ask the room steward for a sharps container when I arrive. Patti
