Costs on Board Spirit

Hi. We haven't cruised NCL since 1996, so I was wondering what we should expect as far as things we need to pay for. We know about the usual things such as pictures, gifts, alcohol and stuff. What about the restaurants, the spa, etc. Thanks.

Obviously, the amount you spend on board will depend on your lifestyle. Over the past few years, we seem to have an on board charge of about $700-1100. We ususally have the drink of the day, maybe one or so more, do excursions, have a bottle of wine with dinner and go to one or two paid restaurant as well as pay the tips.

 

Our goal: keep it under $1000.

 

Keep in mind, last year we traveled with our two kids, but they have a minimal part since they don't drink. Alcohol cost a lot of $$. The more you drink, the more you pay.

There are a few extra charge restuarants as well. If you do a search you will get some answers to this.

Your tips will be charged at $10.00 pp per day. The surcharge restaurants can range from $15.00 and up, depending on where you go and there are some special items that would cost more. The spa varies of course to treatment. There are specials offered, most on port days, but look in the freestyle daily to notice. Hard to give a price, there are many different kinds of massages that range from $75.00 to $250.00. Facials from $50.00 or so. This is my guess in trying to remember, I just got back a few weeks ago.

 

All of your ship activities, including excursions from the ship and such, will be placed on the credit card you give them. Anything else off the ship such as your souvenirs, tours on your own, entrance fees, any lunches and food off ship etc., of course will require cash. Most shopping and restaurants you can use credit card.
