Question About Spa Facility Use

I've looked all over and cannot find an answer to this one.

On previous cruises we have used the spa facilities

(pool, jacuzzi's, steam, sauna) at no charge. Is this

true on Princess ships? We will be on the Sapphire Princess

from LA to Alaska on May 15th, and would like to know

beforehand. The last time we cruised, the cruise line

(not named) suddenly put a very high day charge on

use of the spa facilities, and we don't want to be

blind-sided like that again.

On the Sapphire all the pools and jacuzzis are free. There is also very adequate steam rooms and dry saunas in the men and womens locker rooms. These are also free. However they also have something called the thermal suite which they do charge for, something like 70.00 per person or 120.00 per couple. This is a very quiet relaxing area with heated tile loungers and three different beautiful scented steam rooms. Only a limited number nof passes are sold so it is not crowded. Last summer if you had a spa treatment you could also use the thermal suite that day.

I was on the Sapphire in Alaska last summer. FANTASTIC!:p

Enjoy

Sandy
