Princess Lodges

Do any of the Princess Lodges have laundry facilities? Also do they have shops to buy anything you forget to bring along? We're staying in all of them except Kenai. Thanks!

I was at the McKinley lodge last week and the gift store had a great selection of items you might have forgotten. I heard someone say they were off to go do laundry but do not recall seeing any laundry facilities.

The McKinley lodge is wonderful! The small town of Talkeetna was fun to walk through. Didn't try the local pizza specialty - tuna and corn.

We did a load of laundry at the Denali lodge. There were lots of gift shops and t-shirt/fleece shops; they weren't too well-stocked with the everyday necessities but there were a few basics.

McKinley definitely has a laundry. My friends and I used it. The shops in all the ones we went to had bare necessities, but limited. They did have some interesting souvenirs, though. My dh surprised me with a pair of earring from the McKinley shop that I love, Made in Alaska sled dogs carved out of ivory.

I made a call to Copper River Lodge and they inform me that they have coin operated laundry facilities too. So I can pack lighter and do more laundry! :D

I did some laundry at the Fairbanks Princess. After 11 pm you have to find a hotel employee to let you in the laundry room though!
