Back to Back NCL cruises

If one books 2 cruises back to back on the same ship, are you required to debark and reboard? And if so, how long does one usually remain off the ship? Is it possible literally to just step off, register, and step back on? Or is it usually hours before one can reboard? Appreciate the help.

I am booked for the 8/12 NCL Spirit to Bahamas and the 8/18 NCL Spirit to Bermuda and was told that I do NOT have to disembark! It is being booked as ONE cruise eventhough everyone else will be getting of, we don't have to. Besides, I am in the same room so let them try and get me out! I did back to back cruise on another line years ago and they treated us like royalty b/c we were the only ones on the ship for a while. We had the run of the ship!

As long as you're in the same cabin, and NCL has the two voyages linked into one, you won't need to disembark.

If your cruises are linked at one, you won't have to disembark. Our back-to-backs on the Pearl this month were 2 separate cruises and we did have to disembark, go through customs, and re-embark. We were, however able to keep the same key card because we were in the same cabin. Also, our onboard charges carried over and we didn't have to settle until the end of the second cruise. Also, our Casino at Sea points carried over for the next cruise and we didn't have to cash them out until the last night of the second cruise.

I can't imagine just hanging around the ship because everything is closed and it would be boring. We spent the day in Miami at the Calle Ocho festival and had a blast, then returned to the ship, just walked right back on and into our cabin. We did tell our room stewards not to worry about making our room, just get us some fresh towels.

I love back-to-backs, and would love to do another. Maybe back to back to back to backs!
