Rome to Naples via train questions

Has anyone done this? How long is the trip? What is the cost?
We are going to spend 2.5 extra days in Rome at the end of our cruise and thought we might try and take a train trip for part or most of that time.
Any advice would be appreciated.

The journey is just under two hours with a fare of 16.53 E on the Inter City service and 22.21 E on the Eurostar service.

I would add that it very much worth it to take a Eurostar train instead of the Intercity.
