Hawaii697 Posted August 4, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2004 When cruising the Southern Caribbean or Eastern Caribbean would you prefer to: Skip San Juan that evening and spend the night in St. Thomas or Stay longer in St. Thomas (at least until 11:00 p.m.) and skip Dominica Unfortunately, I haven't figured out how to use the poll set yet so bear with me. Looking forward to your responses. kkorman Posted August 4, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2004 Dominca is one of my favorites of the Caribbean. THere is so much adventure there. I would not want to miss this stop and picked my next Caribbean trip because of it. Staying a few extra houirs in St. Thomas is not really worth it. MOst places in town close at 5 and the rest at 9 and 10. (Especially in the summer) I would not mind leaving here at 7 though.
STANCPA44 Posted August 4, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2004 Skip Dominica, no way, it is also one of my favorite ports. Another one is Grenada. Very few ship go there. It is far better then the the Grand Caymans or Key West.

pholter Posted August 4, 2004 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2004 I'd actually like to skip the evening San Juan and pick up a port- maybe Grenada or Curacao personally. The Southern route is already jam packed, but spending the night in San Juan really is a waste to me. Been there, done that. I'd also prefer to keep the "St" islands in the Eastern Route and just do Southern if Carnival ever rethinks the Southern itinerary...
