Just Back Carib Princess 3/25 -4/1

Just back from Eastern Carib on Carib Princess. Two disappointments, they no longer have non alcoholic beer. We are non drinkers who like to have a Hacke Beck non alcoholic beer when on vacation..we were told that they don't serve it or any non alcoholic beer anymore. This was a real dissappointment for us. Why I don't know.

Also, the Internet was tooooo slowwww.. even tho I have Platium status and the new rules didn't go into effect till April 1, it would have cost me $75 just to log on and get email.. the connection is so slow. I feel bad for those who had to pay this cruise.

On a good note, the immigration process has gotten much better than last time i cruised on this ship and ports.

I must be getting very cynical, as the comedians seemed to be getting worse... I can't believe that people are giving them a standing ovation.. I have seen better elsewhere. As a frequent cruiser I don't want to hear any more jokes on the buffet, bathrooms, etc. It is okay for first time cruisers but for those of us who have cruised before,,, it is the same old stuff. The one new was Carlos (can't remember his last name) his stuff was original and I enjoyed it.

The first two days at sea were very rocky... I had not experienced this on a ship this size.. I have on smaller ships, but never on a ship this big. I will have to stop telling people that you don't even know you are on a ship...

Overall cruise was good. I have been on Princess many times as well as Carnival, Holland, Celebrity, Royal Carib, and I still enjoy Princess the best.

Slots on Princess seem to be low payouts... Maybe I was dreaming but in past years I thought that they paid out more.

We also were on this cruise and compared the rough seas to what we had in the North Atlantic on a recent TA. After many Caribbean cruises, this was probably the roughest.

Agree on the entertainment, just not as good as in the past. As far as the casino, we were traveling with an elderly relative who won $600 one night on the slots so she was happy.

We were very surprised when we heard there were 900 children onboard, we always thought Princess limited the number on each cruise but guess that is to be expected when you try to travel in March, lesson learned.

Happy cruising, Nancy

We are sailing on Princess for the first time. (Caribbean, 9/2, West. Carib.)

If there are even 200 hundred kids on this ship, we may slit our wrists!! We go on cruises for relaxation and fun and kids do not equal relaxation or fun for us. I don't mind a small number and parents who actually supervise their kids. Unfortunately, it seems fewer and fewer parents supervise their children, regardless of their age. This is why I never cruise during summer, holidays or spring break.

One thing I liked about RCCL was the solarium where kids under 16 weren't allowed without parents and we could swim and relax in the whirlpools without loud, obnoxious and unsupervised kids being around.

Are their pools where kids aren not allowed without parents on Princess? I sure hope so.

There are pools on Princess where kids aren't allowed with or without parents. On both of our Princess cruises there were quite a few kids, but we thought the youth security did an excellent job with the kids.
