Peeps going on Holiday

Recommended Posts

My sister and I are going on Holiday in 6 months. For reasons I'll omit in the interest of brevity, I need to take a Peep or box of Peeps (marshmallow chicks) on the cruise with me. I need to take pictures of this peep doing, um, cruise things.

I will fashion a pair of (black construction paper) sunglasses so that Peep can sit on the beach or by the pool (maybe with a mini umbrella and foo foo drink nearby. Peep will visit the piano lounge. Peep might be photographed at the Captain's table. I'm also hoping Peep will snorkle to the bottom of a margarita.

What other ideas can you share? (If I need props for effective photos, I want to be prepared & bring them with me.)

Thanks!

Connie

Maybe Peep could get a "massage" on the beach, play some slots in the Casino, sunbathe on the topless deck, and iron it's little clothes in the laundry onboard.

How about Formal dress for formal night?

and a construction paper sailor's hat would be in order!

Now THAT's a fun thing! A coupla years ago, about 40 friends and I (from all over the country) passed a rubber chicken back and forth. I took pictures of "Chicken Chit" at all the fun places here on the coast and N.O., and a cute one was him in a little apron and tiny chef's hat 'cooking' at my stove.

A photo op for sure - the Peeps sitting beside your towel animal on your bed. How about on a lounger under a palapa on an island - ocean in background, of course - with umbrella drink near by.

You will have a BLAST doing this! You may get strange looks, but that's ok, too! Have fun! (Wish I'd had the Chit on a cruise with me.)

Sounds like a lot of fun!

How about:

Peep at a slot machine

Peep at the ship's show (try to get the stage and performers in the background, flash off/available light)

Peep at the cabin sink getting ready for a night of fun

Peep photographed with a ship's officer

Peep wearing a loud Hawaiian shirt (maybe available as doll's clothing in a toy store).

Peep in or near a hottub.

Peep working out at an exercise machine.

Peep on a railing looking at a sunrise/sunset in the distance. (some gum or weighting may keep him from blowing away)

Peep guarding the cabin's safe (maybe from the inside!)

For props I think a visit to a large toy store would be good. There are all sorts of tiny clothes and accessories for dolls and action figures.

Also general purpose craft supplies will help when ideas come to you onboard. Perhaps:

  • scissors
  • different colors of construction paper
  • different colors of Magic Markers
  • Scotch tape
  • coffee stirrers (start collecting a couple of different styles)
  • glue (Duco and Elmer's)
  • Wooden ice cream sticks
  • glitter
  • bits of different patterned cloth
  • Playdo or air drying modeling clay
  • small assortment of beads and buttons
  • string and thread

Now you have me thinking about posing our own mascot on the cruise!

I like the Peep buried in his own winnings!

How about a link photo in the middle. Photograph the reels on the slot machine and with photo editing superimpose a closeup of a Peep on all three reels (the Peep Jackpot)!
