Summer Hurricane Predictions are in for the eastcoast

Recommended Posts

Ahhhhh..our local Philadelphia station just posted that they expect 17 named Hurricanes for the upcoming season and have a 83% chance of the midatlantic states getting hit this time. Apparently El Nino which keeps the hurricanes away is gone and La Nina showed up in March which makes for an active season such as year before last. This information is based from Kansas. I sure hope this isn't the case.

As they just said on our news tonight here in Orlando, it takes only one bad storm to hit to make it a "bad" season, so just be prepared with what you need to do. We will just have to wait and see. Who knew what 2004 would bring us at this point that year. Hopefully this is all talk............

We were just talking about this. Lot of money lost this past year with all the talk that this past year was going to be far worse than the year before and then nothing major happened. We have been lucky dodging the "big one" the past few years but it seems we may not be so lucky this year. We get more damage here at our beaches from the nor'easters than anything else.

Until 2004 Orlando felt it was immune from the effects of hurricanes. I always wondered what everyone thought would save them? Our huge mountain range we have between each coastline?:p

I think the weather folks just need have something sensational to chat about. And hopefully in December we will all look back and find that nothing major happened and those darn microburst heavy thunderstorms that happen during the summer were our biggest problem.........
