Need hotel for 6 people in Miami area...Candlewood Suites West Airport??

We are going to be coming into Miami the day before our cruise(May 26, Liberty of the Seas) and need a place for the night....we have 4 adults & 2 teenagers. Any suggestions for someplace all six of us can stay in one room(maybe Candlewood Suites) or should be try to get 2 rooms maybe closer to the port. We are also trying to do this as inexpensive as possible (of course), but also be in a decent part of town.
