Doubletree - Houston Airport

We are being put up at the Doubletree Hotel at the Houston airport for our Dec.23rd cruise out of Galveston, on Voyager. My question: has anyone stayed at this hotel before, and is it really noisy from air traffic? The last time we cruise at Christmas out of Galveston, RCI put us up at the Galvez in Galveston, and that was a beautiful hotel. We were a little disappointed that we were being housed at the Doubletree at the airport this time :(

They do have a restaurant. Looked very nice but we didn't dine there. The hotel also has room service which we used for dinner.

There isn't much for restaurants around the hotel. Some fast food places, that's about it. If you walk out of the hotel and take a right there is a Subway Sandwich and a Godfathers Pizza. If you walk to the left there is a Popeye's Chicken, Jack In The Box, and Taco Bell. All of those options are a 2 minute walk from the hotel.

thanks discjoker. you have been most helpful and I appreciate that you took the time to reply. Fast food is actually fine for us, because we don't want to be eating too much as we will probably be doing just that for the next 7 days!!!
