New Seattle Cruise Terminal Delayed a Year

The construction of Seattle's new pier 91, a replacement for Pier 30 which is destined to be converted to container use, will be delayed a year and is now scheduled to open in April 2009. Presently HAL and Princess use Pier 30. Pier 91 is located north of downtown. Pier 30 is in a cargo area and totally lacks any charm, think San Pedro, but its one redeeming factor is a world class view of the Seattle waterfront when your cruise ship steams north leaving the port.
