teresapink Posted April 10, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 10, 2007 I recently booked Liberty for April 08. My cabin is on the starboard side of deck 10. My colleague said that I was on the "smoking " side of the ship. Is this true? Thanks- T
BobBeaSea Posted April 10, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 10, 2007 On outdoor (open) decks the smoking areas are located on the starboard side (right hand side). ALL cabins are smoking, smokers have to request an ashtray from their cabin steward.
sept10dsm Posted April 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 10, 2007 I think it was the port side for the open decks, but balconies are all smoking. One reason why not not in too much of a rush to book one. Smoking is allowed in rooms too.
teresapink Posted April 10, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted April 10, 2007 So it seems that it doesn't really matter where you are since people can smoke wherever...I won't fret! Thanks- T

cb at sea Posted April 10, 2007 #6 Share Posted April 10, 2007 Smoking is only allowed inside the ships in the cabins, and some areas of some bars (not all bars allow smoking) and the casino. No other interior places allow smoking. On the open decks, whichever side has the ashtrays is the smoking side. (Usually Starboard--at least on all the ships I've been on!)
