mithryl Posted April 12, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 12, 2007 We're thinking of booking a mini-suite on the RT to Hawaii in 2008 on the Diamond. We've heard that many of the Mini's on Dolphin deck are not completely covered (people on the Caribe can look down on you). I can't tell from the deck plans which balconies are private and which are not. Are there any mini's on any deacks that are completely covered? Which category do we need to book? We don't care if we're on Emerald, Dolphin or Caribe, we'd just like to get a private balcony...if at all possible. Thanks for your help.

Embracedbylife Posted April 12, 2007 #4 Share Posted April 12, 2007 It think photo is taken from Baja Deck looking down on Caribe and then Dolphin. Aloha deck and Baja deck are completly covered, but are smaller balconies. I like Baja deck b/c it's private, and it's not a suite, just a balcony room. Caribe is half exposed, half open. I think these are suites...? Dolphin is totally exposed. Emerald is covered....right below Dolphin's....so it's a good choice too.

Editor Posted April 13, 2007 #6 Share Posted April 13, 2007 We were on the March 31-April 7 MR cruise and were in Dolphin 310. The the lifeboats and tenders are on the Emerald deck. I found that when we were on our balconey we were pretty much alone. I would look up and see maybe two or three people above me on there's. Not one was looking down at me either. I wouldn't hesitate to take a balcony on Dolphin.
