San Pedro - where to stay precruise

Wife and I are flying into LAX the day before we depart. Where should we stay that night between the airport and San Pedro?

 

Looking for nice accomodations... somewhere with good food.

Stay at the Crowne Plaza its right by the port. We stayed at a few over there and this is the one we like the best. Its also in walking distance to retaurants and the San Pedro Ports 'OCall. The Ports 'O Call has retaurant, shopping boat rides etc.

Go to "North American Homeports" section of CC and click on West Coast Departures. There is lots of info on places to stay in and around San Pedro.

We have stayed at the Long Beach Westin and LB Hilton. Both were very nice and the food was great.

I would go with the Crowne Plaza or the DoubleTree, both good and convenient to the port. Long Beach hotels are fine, but a long way back to San Pedro.

The Hyatt in Long Beach is very nice. It's about a 10 min drive from San Pedro.

the Holiday Inn Express is a few blocks inland, and a not-so-nice area.
