St Thomas pre cruise hotel

It really depends on how much you wish to pay. The Frenchman's Reef will be extremely high-end (and high-priced), if that's what you want.

If you are looking for basic accommodations, and only staying overnight, the Holiday Inn in downtown Charlotte Amalie will be as convenient as any for a quick turn around and much less expensive.

If staying longer, I can recommend the Mafolie Hotel, about half-way up the mountain, facing the harbor. Views were superb; dining was good. Shuttle runs to town and to a beach (Magen's?) each day. Otherwise, cabs are easy to get. It's a little more than the Holiday Inn, but much less than the Marriott.

Seabourn, among others, conducts weekly cruises out of St. Thomas with one of it's ships (the Legend) during their season there. The SB Pride often bases out of Bridgetown, Barbados for weekly cruises.

Hope this helps,

Paul
