Radiance questions

We enjoy relaxing in a bar before turning in for the night. 1) How much are drinks on the ship, especially top shelf. 2) Is there one bar on the Radiance that has better atmosphere, entertainment, views etc.

We will be on an Alaska cruise in June.

Any info is appreciated.

We enjoyed spending some time in the solarium (central bar) by the elevators mid-ship. Each night they would have a little band or singer entertain in this area - while we were there it was "Blackjax & Santino" (or something like that...) who was great! They drew a crowd but the music was fun and worth it.

I will tell you IMO the ship is very quiet in the evening. You could go to nearly any bar and have a peaceful nightcap. Most folks (myself included) seem to be exhausted after a long day in port and rest up for the next day out. The ship is beautiful and drinks or average price for cruise ships. I would have a few Barcardi Big Apple and sprits for about $4.50 each. It really wasn't much more than what I would pay at home.

Have a great cruise!

We sailed the Radiance last year from Miami thru Canal to San Diego. The Schooner is a nice place for just relaxing. before dinner ther usually have a piano player or singer or someone. Otherwise it's quiet. Other lounges usually have music of some sort> The Viking Crown deck 13 is idea for anytime. They have dancing and music at different times but you can drift around to the side away from the main music area and its quiet. Cost of drinks are usually $5 range but you will spend a heck of a lot more on others things so let go. We are sailing June 1st North trip and arriving in Vancouver a day early to enjoy the city plus it's a great way for the luggage to catch up before boarding if the airlines lose it.

To luvscruising2007 we are on the Radiance 6/1. We are new to the Crusie Critic but not to crusing. Not familair with all the features. We are travling alone so a meet & mingle sounds like fun. We are also on the land tour with RC

The Schooner bar has wide windows and comfy chairs. It is usually very quiet. Please find Norma and tell her that Karin, Matt and Julie say hello. Joko will do terrific picture puzzles for you on a napkin. Spike (Ishmael) the bartender is a blast. We really liked the Schooner bar. Whether you drink coke or martinis, they don't care. They are the friendliest bunch of any ship we've sailed!

Don't miss the sing along. Kieron the cruise director is hilarious!
