Puntarenas, Costa Rica

We are on the Zuiderdam Repo Cruise leaving FLL 22 April. One stop is in Puntarenas, Costa Rica. We are doing what HAL calls the Pacific Aerial Tram (5.5 hours including the round trip bus). Does anyone have experience with this tour?

 

Also - what is the town like??:confused:

We were in Puntarenas on the Summit on April 7th. The Pacific Arial Tram was ok, but not great. The tour guide and the bus trip was good, but we didn't see as many birds or animals as we were expecting on the tram. The follage was interesting but we would do something else next time.

 

We didn't walk around Puntarenas but the shopping at the craft market right on the beach was great. There are a lot of inexpensive local items, (wood products and shell jewlery).
