Private Tours In Merida???

We'll be in Progreso/Merida in May and need recommendations for either a private group tour or a driver for just the two of us. As it stands right now, we've booked the Rhapsody ship excursions for Merida but assume we could cover more ground in less time with our own guide. Thanks very much!!!

BTW. My traveling companion is on the Rhapsody some time in May and she is very familiar with Merida. We spent two weeks in Merida and exploring the Yucatan State and she also took her grand-daughter to Merida for a week.
