halos Posted August 10, 2004 #26 Share Posted August 10, 2004 I have to have my ocean days. I love being out in the middle of nowhere with no land to be seen. It calms me. I must have been a marine mamal in a previous life.
willybegolfer Posted August 10, 2004 #27 Share Posted August 10, 2004 Ships. That's the only thing that would keep me from cruising.

BillnBobbi Posted August 17, 2004 #31 Share Posted August 17, 2004 For me, I couldn't do without the casino or Camp Carnival for a place for my daughter while I am in the casino. Well, I voted "other". If they did away with lifeboats, I would never cruise again. I would have no problem cruising on a ship that did away with the casino, the bars, the formal nights, the buffet, the art auctions, the comedians, the cruise director, the Vegas shows (esp. the vegas shows), or the days at sea. Of course if they did away with the days at sea, you'd merely be in a shopping mall near your local megaplex, right? On the other hand, I'd have a hard time without the wonderful cabin stewards, the exercise room and spa. I think I'll purchase a large yacht. ruttie Posted August 19, 2004 #32 Share Posted August 19, 2004 FREE FOOD!!!! I am very concerned that the trend towards paying for food is becoming more and more on cruise ships that is one of the reasons i started cruising it was all inclusive....I know there are real "all inclusives" but that is what makes cruising great the ability to choose a cruise line that fits y9ur budget. Sweetcharlotte30 Posted September 20, 2004 #34 Share Posted September 20, 2004 I have to agree with ruttie, if they started charging for all food, that would be it, no more cruiseing for me. Even if the cruise only was cheaper than cruise and food combined. I voted for the buffets, but really, it's the buffet and dining room. I can do without the fancy-schmansy $25pp dining room. L2J Posted September 21, 2004 #37 Share Posted September 21, 2004 And here I thought for sure you would have said "Funnel Deck." :p Nope I thought about that but then realized there's the Lido Deck. But no beer would be like living in a dry county:eek:

judyf Posted January 6, 2005 #39 Share Posted January 6, 2005 I voted for port days. I also like the sea days but as another poster said I would just make my own sea days!
