One thing that just hit me, could it appear there are less players on ship casinos now than in years past because the casinos are much larger? Just a thought. NMnita

I don't think so.........I'm convinced there are less and less people playing.......just an observation........

The biggest advantage in joining the players club only comes if you are a big player. You can get a discounted cruise rate from a couple cruise lines if you go through the players club. There are some that will credit your on board account if you play enough. But that is basically if you play slot machines. Table games get you nothing.

On table games the boss rates your play and then the points are paid out accordingly. I don't mess with them because half of the time I forget to use it at a Craps table and then you're at the mercy of how they rate your play.

We are in the Casino every night for several hours and for part of the day on sea days. We use to go to Vegas at least twice a year and we visit our local casino once a month. Last year we only went to Vegas once because we have upped our cruising.

We would love to see the Loyalty Program expanded to all the RCI fleet currently it is only on a handful of ships. Loyalty programs are key in the industry (gambling industry) and although we do have the Crown and Anchor Society, it recognizes us based on accommodation whereas a casino loyalty program recognizes us based on play (aka action).
