good beach for snorkling?

Hi,

 

My husband and I were in St Lucia for a day and we took Herod's tour ( I highly recommend him, by the way, awesome day!). We are returning in Nov and are thinking about going to the beach/snorkling for the day- the water there is so clear. Does anyone have any good suggestions?

i've done a fair bit of research - lots of online searching and have perused several travel books. haulnta nailed it. there are pros/cons to each.

Jalousie Bay had the best snorkeling I've done from the beach. The slope of the Piton continues under water in the Preserve, so 20 -30 from the shoreline the water is 20 ft deep. There is a fresh water shower right there, and I believe that there is a bar/ restaurant. I can't comment on the other beaches
