Sunny Lady Posted August 6, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 6, 2004 We have been to St. Thomas twice and this time when the ship docks we were thinking of taking the ferry over to St. John. What is there to see and/or do over there besides beaches? Thanks for any information.
pholter Posted August 7, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 7, 2004 Basically beaches..... You can hike a bit and there are a couple of resorts, but beaches and snorkeling are tops there. It's beautiful and a bit non commercial compared to St. Thomas. Kinda like getting away from it all...
MandyGirl Posted August 7, 2004 #3 Share Posted August 7, 2004 ... as well as incredible hiking, snorkeling with hawksbill turtles, exploring old ruins, and unique shopping. There are beaches that are known for different reasons - presence of coral, abundance of fish, variety of turtles, underwater snorkel trails, long sandy beaches, short secluded beaches, beaches at the end of rewarding hikes, etc. This website will give you more insight as well as descriptions of each beach and its facilities (if applicable): http://www.*****/stjohn/
